On of my absolute favorite ways of shooting is in a documentary style. Birth photography is very naturally documentary... but family sessions aren't always seen as such! While I do enjoy lightly posed photos, I think my passion is in documenting real life. I encourage you to play and do the activities you would do on any other day, so I can capture your reality for you...and when you look back in years to come, you'll be able to relive these moments exactly as they were. When your children were this exact age, and at this exact stage...where the smiles are genuine and the joy is raw and real!
This particular session is my "Family Day" session, offered under the family photography section of my website. I especially love it because we aren't rushed...there's no strict time constraints. Children who may have been hesitant to leave mom and dad's side start to either forget I'm there or begin to come out of their shells and enjoy my presence. We get to capture real life, and even in more than one setting...we started at their home, then drove to a nearby park as the sun began to set. I get to capture reality and show you just how beautiful it really is!
